28/12/13 - MOB RULE LEAVES CAR DAMAGED
In an update to the flash protest that occurred when Mr Currie made an appearance at the tecoma site. A visitors vehicle that had parked in the area adjoining the project had its doors kicked in when protesters believed that the occupants were connected to the visit of Mr Currie.
Local extremists that were at the site to harass MrCurrie had whipped themselves into a foaming frenzy and mistakenly targeted the occupants of the vehicle believing they were connected to Mr Curries visit. Around 20 of the extremists surrounded the occupants as they exited the car and began abusing them with some becoming very aggressive in their attack. The occupants, that were now fearing for their safety, were invited to seek refuge from the mob inside the fenced area where protection could be better managed by security and police.
It is understood that during this time when the occupants were away from the vehicle that one or more of the extremists took the opportunity to cause damage to the vehicle. Inquiries into the vandals identity have so far yielded no results as the extremist group has closed ranks to protect the perpetrator of this malicious act. That night, or in the early hours of the next day, extremists polluted the site in another act of extremist democracy by throwing open containers of a toxic substance into the structure. Previous attacks have included the throwing of rocks into the site putting worker safety at risk.
Gary Muratore, who was there during the flash protest and regular spin doctor of the extremist group, responded to the issue by deflecting attention towards site workers, security and even the police as the most likely perpetrators of the damage. Sadly the victim of this crime will be significantly out of pocket for the repair costs and it is unlikely that justice will be served in this case.
To vandalise someone's personal property just for kicks is a low act in anyone's books - but for the others to protect this person by not naming them just goes to prove their lack of morals and conscience. This incident and others like it show exactly why "mob rule" and "thug democracy" are not recognised as a legitimate part of the legal system in this country. And that laws based on the constitution need to be protected from the hypocrisy of preferential thinking by narrow minded radicals.
